Counselling and Psychotherapy
Counselling and psychotherapy covers a range of theories and modalities. These include psychodynamic, person-centred therapy, existential therapy, family therapy, feminist therapy, Gestalt therapy, narrative therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Each of these has evolved over time in how it is applied to contemporary practice.

We aim to develop in our students interdisciplinary knowledge to understand and respond to challenges faced by individuals, families and groups in the twenty-first century. A range of counselling theories and modalities will be integrated in practice to meet the needs of diverse client groups.
