What does the application process involve?
Are JNI qualifications recognised?
Yes, all JNI qualifications are nationally recognised and government-accredited. In addition, JNI’s CHC51712 Diploma of Counselling meets the standards of the Australian Counselling Association.
Will I be required to attend on campus workshops?
This course will provide three optional locations for the on campus residential. It is mandatory to attend the residential at one of these locations.
Is there any financial assistance I can apply for?
All JNI courses are FEE-HELP or VET FEE-HELP approved. Almost every Australian citizen is eligible meaning you do not have to pay anything upfront, but can pay your course as you earn. Contact your nearest Centrelink office for information on Abstudy and Youth Allowance benefits available.
What are the benefits of studying online with JNI?
JNI offers a learning structure that can fit your lifestyle, with a flexible balance of supported and independent study complemented by high quality study materials. These are designed to let you learn anywhere, while you schedule your study times to suit your needs. Subjects are delivered through a state-of-the-art learning portal that has been purpose built for JNI. Each subject is facilitated by a dedicated online lecturer who guides the learning process and provides academic support. During your course, you will be able to connect with your lecturers and fellow students through group activities and various communication channels, including discussion forums, message boards, blogs and wikis. You will be able to monitor your own progress with self-review quizzes and receive immediate results and feedback. Assessments are submitted and marked online, excluding the mandatory practical counselling sessions which may require you to be physically present.
JNI is currently offering the following scholarships (covering 1 years tuition)to new, full-time and on-campus students commencing on 20 February, 2017:
*The scholarship will cover 1 trimester of tuition fees for Master, Diploma and Graduate courses.
The recipient of the scholarship will also become a college ambassador.
JNI Ambassadors promote the school and its courses to members of the broader community across a variety of activities, (such as Open Days, Information Evenings, Workshops etc.), contribute to the college’s social media channels and provide testimonials as required.
Scholarships are open to Australian citizens or permanent residents of any age.
AS A SCHOLARSHIP STUDENT YOU WILL MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
- Academic Drive: Must be able to show a dedication to their academic studies, and/or passion for studying in order to satisfy the judging panel that they will persevere with their course and not withdraw, change course or change education providers.
- Community Minded: Must demonstrate a willingness to get involved, be proactive and a personable attitude through a history of volunteer or community work.
- Industry Passion: Must display a passion for their chosen industry.
- Australian citizen/resident: This scholarship is only eligible to students who meet citizenship or residency requirements. Scholarships are for new students commencing full time, on-campus study in February 2016.

JNI is approved to offer eligible Australian students FEE-HELP. FEE-HELP is a government loan scheme that is available to assist eligible students studying higher education qualifications to pay their tuition fees.
This is government loan schemes that can help you pay for all or part of your tuition fees. Repayments start through the tax system once you have found employment and your income rises above the minimum repayment threshold. Eligible Australian students might also be able to receive a study allowance from the government to assist with living costs.
